How to Plan Output Targets for Custom Packaging Automation Projects

Output planning should begin before a custom assembly machine or injection mold quote is finalized. Buyers need to consider annual demand, shift arrangement, labor cost, product complexity, accepted defect rate, and future scaling plans.

For injection mold projects, the output target affects cavity count, injection tonnage, cooling design, material choice, and trial testing. For automated assembly machines, it influences feeding systems, indexing structure, sensor configuration, testing stations, and operator workflow.

Songrock recommends sharing samples, CAD files, current production bottlenecks, and expected capacity during the first technical review. With these inputs, engineers can propose a practical configuration instead of simply quoting a machine speed that may not match real production conditions.
